Hi ,
I need to travel to Paris next week by Eurostar with my husband and kid. We had our Schengen Visa stamped on our Indian passport (both non-expired) before getting British citizenship. My holidays were booked 6 months back and I have no time to apply for a British passport (takes upto 6 weeks).
Now that I am officially British after ceremony (held last week) can I travel to Paris using the Schengen Visa stamped on Indian Passport.
Heard that Indian consulate gives 3 months' grace period to travel on Indian passport but not read anywhere.
Can anyone provide me the link on website please?
Will there be a fine if I am using Indian passport for travel within these 3 months?
Also will immigration officer at Eurostar stop me from entering UK using the ILR stamp on Indian passport.
Thanks,

That's fine. You can travel upto 3 months from naturalisation with your Indian passport without risking any fine.
UK (unlike USA) don't require a BC to enter the country using a BP, so you can use your Indian passport and ILR to enter.

MB: Thanks will carry a photocopy of the certificate
what about certificate of entitlement stamp on ur indian passport?
MB: Do you mean ILR stamp on Indian passport - Yes I have it. But is the ILR not invalid from day of naturalistion?
what do you mean by 'grace period'?
MB: Grace period as in the 3 months time period wherein you can travel with Indian passport without fine. Could not locate it anywhere on Indian Consulate website.

no i meant certificate of entitlement, look it up. its a stamp on your foreign (indian in your case) passport saying youre a british citizen.

i still dont understand. elaborate on it. why would you get fined after 3 months on a valid indian passport? EDIT: I now know what it means.[/quote]

why are you asking irrelevant questions and unnecessary complicating matters?
OP has clearly stated she would be applying for BP in future. There has been no reference of CoE ROA, has it?
