hi everyone,
i am a worried mother and trying to apply for my child's first British passport. my husband is British by decent and was born out side UK. i was naturalized after my sons birth as spouse of British citizen and was also born outside UK.my son was born in UK 2 years old. (sorry if i sound stupid) in section 4 of application form it require grandparents details which makes me worry.
section 4 passport application form:

If both parents were born after 31 December 1982, or were born outside the UK,write the full name, town, country, date of birth and date of marriage of the grandparents (or details of the parents’ claim to British nationality).

i could not sleep all night and still no signs of sleep today. i do not have details of paternal grandparents.if i put details of parents(me and my husband) claim to British nationality would it be enough? do i still need to gather grandparents details.and another thing disturb me is can i sign my son's application form when i naturalized after his birth. i urgently need to travel and cant go without my son.i hope some one can help me

Don't worry!

Your son is automatically British under section 1(1)(a).
Or if you held ILR at the time of your son's birth in the UK, then that would also be sufficient under secton 1(1)(b).

Your husband's grandparents' details may be necessary only if they doubt your husband's claim to British citizenship.
Your grandparents details are not relevant.

You signing the form should be okay:
Guidance Notes wrote:Parental responsibility
A child under 16
must have permission from a person with parental responsibility. If a child’s parents are married, either parent can give permission if they were:

married at the time of the child’s birth (or, for those living in Scotland, when the mother became pregnant), or

married at any time after the child’s birth.
The following may help with stress:

Smile; relax; be patient.

Sound and Peaceful Sleep.
