Hi there,

I cam here on WP in 2006 and got my ILR in Nov 2011.

My wife joined me on WP dependant in 2009 and also got ILR with me in Nov 2011.

I recently applied for my british nationality and got british passport.

Few questions I have now for my Wife nationality application:

1- Can she apply for British nationality now as she has not completed 6 years yet.

2- If she can apply based on BC spouse. Do I need to submit my british passport and naturalisation certificate.

Once you have become a BC she can apply once she has 1. ILR/PR and 2. 3 years legal residency in the UK. So at first instance providing she meets the other criteria she can apply once you have BC. If you use the NCS you will not have to submit any documents as they will be returned. There may be discretion for you to apply together but this is in no way guaranteed to succeed for your wife. Your British Passport will be proof you are a BC.

Yes and marriage certificate although this should already be on record. If you apply using the NCS you will get the documents straight back.
