Maintaining British Citizenship - outside more than 2 years

i know we need to maintain an ILR status by making sure we don't stay outside UK for 2 years, does anybody knows if there is similar requirements for British citizenship. Sorry, if this sounds like a daft but just wanted to know if I choose to stay outside UK for more than 2 years and then plan to return back do I need to show my link with UK (like home ownership or something like that)

thanks, I thought so too but just wanted to confirm as I could not find any 'returning residents' link under British Citizenship section on UKBA

2years requirement only for ILR holders not for BC
