cheque payment

i applied my naturilisation on 02/04/2013 via solicitor
and HO dint debit fees is that because of cheque payment or something else?

i received the acknowlegment letter before the money was cleared from my account.the letter stated that the cheque was received and fees paid in full but it took around a week(from the date on the letter) before i was able to see it on my account.
hope knowing this eased your mind a little...
