Good Character Question

Hello Experts,

I have a quick question regarding Good character criteria. I and my wife will be applying for BC in next couple of days in a joint application.
My wife used to work as a contractor before our child say apx 3 years ago. HMRC has recently disputed her tax returns for 2011-12 & asked to pay some more tax. We are currently fighting an appeal for that. IS this something that will be considered under "good character"
Secondly, does if make sense to declare this on the application form or can be ignored??

Many Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Max

Providing you or your spouse were not "evading tax responsibilities or are attempting to defraud the DWP" then you will be ok. There is no need to declare any issues unless you have been prosecuted or have a civil judgement or were "evading tax responsibilities or are attempting to defraud the DWP".
