British Passport Application - Photo Guidance

I will be applying for my first BP next week using the post office check and send service.

I understand that the IPS requests passport photos taken within one month, however I thought to send the photos used for my naturalisation application which by the time the IPS receive my docs will only be 1.5 months old. (Otherwise it would be another wasted pack of three lying about.)

Might this be an issue? I don't imagine that the IPS are absolutely analogy about this requirement esp. as adults hardly change (or grow in any direction!) in 6 weeks.

Comments welcome esp. from anyone who has succeeded in doing so.

Thanks

How would they know the photo is older than one month? If you look no different, I don't see the issue. After all, it is only guidance.

That was my thinking. It doesn't appear anywhere in my passports or visas but I imagined that they might cross reference with my UKBA file.

I'm probably just imagining too thorough a scenario! I think i'll go with the current photos.

Thanks

An over active-imagination, perhaps? :-)

Definitely. And a worthy companion since childhood.
