Hi,

I am Pakistani national and recently got my ILR. My child was born before we got our settlement. Now i would like to apply for his citizenship and have following questions:

Q1. We haven't got his Pakistani passport made yet so would it be essential to get it before we apply for UK citizenship?!

Q2: In application form we need to say section 1.3 for question 1.

Q3: It is asking for home office reference number for kid and we never had it so what to fill out in that section?!

Q4: There is a section (section 3.1) for father (British resident) to show their absences but no similar sections for settled residents ?!!

Thanks.

Assuming the child was born in the UK:

1. No
2. Yes
3. Leave blank
4. Section 3 is not relevant to your case. You just need to send your passport/BRP to support the application.

Thanks Jumbo. Please could you advise on below as well:
I need to get some advise on referee issues:

I recently got my ILR and now next year would like to go for the naturalisation. During my last five years (since 2008) I have lived in various cities and had various employments so my longest stay in once city being around 1.5 years. Most of the people I knew they were non UK citizens while colleagues were UK citizens.

My wife is a house wife and moved to UK in 2011 she does not know many UK citizens however she has relatives who are British.

I am a Pakistani national so wondering if in case I struggle to get UK reference then can I utilise some reference from Pakistan?!!!

What to do?!!!

Thanks.

Have you read the requirements for references as listed in the application form?
For someone who has been living in the UK for a few years, I would not think it would be difficult to find reference who meets the requirements.
