Hi there, I have been to Macedonia a couple of times. My friend there wants to live and work in England so she can earn better and help her family.

My question is, what is the process for this? I've been reading the information on the UK Border Agency and it seems very strict. She is qualified as a nurse in her country, but I can't see any information for this on the work visa's.

Is there any realistic way for her to get British Citizenship?

No, there is no easy way unfortunately for her to obtain British Citizenship - all routes now, as a minimum, to BC are 5 years visa + 1 year ILR . She will need to either find a sponsor (NHS) for a visa as a nurse (if she meets all the requirements) or look into other options - student etc.
