You don't have to apply for a passport. Many British citizens have never had a passport.

You can apply for it when you feel you are ready or need it.

Thanks guru for your reply.

i'm thinking of applying registration for my daughter and going to india. am i right in saying that there won't be a problem in my daughter satying in india for 6 months and then when i come back i could apply for the passport.

for my wife when i get the naturalisation from the HO, i think i have 3 months to thake the ceremony. my question is my wife is going to india soon after applying the naturalisation through NCS and plan to just come back for the ceremony. is there and codition that after taking the oath we need to stay in the Uk.

Please do advice.

Thanks

Balaji
