Next steps for citizenship

Hi,

I have received my ILR last week after 5 years of stay in UK. I was on WP + Tier 2 category. Can anybody please help me with next steps for citizenship?
Anything which I will need to maintain carefully so that my citizenship options are met?

I have also heard that we cannot stay outside UK for more than 90 days? Does this disqualify me for applying for British Citizenship?

Please advise.

Thanks :?

Ok. Thanks D4109125. Just read through the absences list. I have two questions:
- not spent more than 90 days outside the UK in the last 12 months of the five-year period; and
Question: Does this mean that if I leave more than 90 days during the last year I can only apply for citizenship the following year?
- not spent more than 450 days outside the UK during the five-year period;
Question: The ILR process accepts 180 days of UK absences in one calender year provided it is official and work related.
Seems citizenship process does not take this into account. Is my understanding correct?

Thanks

You're right, anything above the absences but for a small allowance will be relying on additional discretion.
