Can some one please help....i have submitted my application on 23rd July and today i got pulled over by the cops saying i was driving without due care or attention.....they didn't give me any points or fine because he said they have no power to do that but instead gave me a offence letter saying new rules say it goes to court and they decide what punishment i get but looking at my clean license i just might have to attend a drivers awareness course and they wont give me no points.......will this affect my application and do I need to report it to HO or wait until I get the letter from the court deciding what they are doing.

Irrespective of the Outcome

aff0207,

Do not worry too much. Yes if it was your first offence you can get away with a drivers awareness course and you will not have any points on your licence.

Just inform the Border agency as a matter of your integrity. You will be fine.
cheers

Please can someone clarify this for me. I don't seem to find definite answer for this question:

I intend to apply for naturalisation as a british citizen -

i was involved in a traffic incident charged with CD10 - driving without due care and attention. I was asked to attend a Driving Awareness Course - which i did. There were no points om my license and no fines

1. In Section 3.7 - is this a criminal conviction?
2. Will it affect my application or can i still go ahead and apply

Thanks in advance
Chici

1. No.
2. No it will not affect. You dont even need to mention it. Good luck.
