Spouse Residency Period

Dear Forum
My wife came into Uk as of my HSMP dependent and stayed in continuously for 4 years 3 months as of today.I fulfill 5 years criteria.In July 2012 we both had ILR and our son has already got a British Passport.
I just wonder if someone could give us some light on following issues
can we both apply for citizenship together ? or
Shall I apply first ...get the BC certificate then she will apply under 3 years
residency criteria.
