Hi,

Does the Home Office really contact the 2 mentioned Referees in the Naturalisation application? Have any of the approved candidates asked their referess if the had been contacted? and how (email / phone?)

one of my ways of gaging when I will possibly recieve my approval is by asking my referees if they have been contacted?! no joy yet!

Both of my referees have said that they had been contacted in past by HO. They were sent letters

was that during your ILR application?

did you need referees for that?

I was worried about it too. I read some posts about system down at solihull. But no, nothing was mentioned about system down today.

The PEO was busy & almost full.

Also, they only send selected cases out for a break i.e come back in 2 hrs.


Ah ok, well I was at Glasgow PEO and no decision made for almost everybody today.////

No that was for my daughter's registeration. Referee is notr equired for ILR.

For the vast majority of cases, referees are not contacted

I wondered if any one has been refused becouse of referees or had been asked to provide another one.
