KoLL requirement 28 Oct 2013 onwards

Hello. I am new here. Can anyone answer my question.

I will apply for my British Citizenship (naturalisation) in November this year. Based on recent changes on knowledge of language and life in the UK requirement, I have to meet both parts to the Knowledge of Language and Life in the UK (KoLL). I checked the information on UKBA website, application booklet, application guide for British citizenship but could not find a clear answer in my regards.

I have recently passed Life in the UK test. Also, I have my BA degree from the University of East London (UK qualification). If I attach my certificate for life in the UK test, University degree and transcript (UK qualification) with my application for British Citizenship, would that
meet the new requirement?

or

Do I need to send my UK qualification to NARIC to check and issue a letter?

In the new British Citizenship (nationalisation) application form there is no box to tick for those having a UK qualification.

Your advise on this matter would be highly appreciated.

The UK NARIC Statement of Comparability is an officially recognised document that confirms the recognition of an overseas qualification and its comparable level in the UK, irrespective of it being an academic, vocational or professional award.

from Naric website.

thanks for your reply. but my degree is from the University of East London (UK University). Why do I need to send my degree to NARIC. Can I use it without NARIC?

A UK Degree should not need confirmation from NARIC.

Many thanks Amber. In the new citizenship form there is no box to tick for those with UK qualification. Shall we make a separate note on the form?

That sounds like a good idea - perhaps in the further information box.

Regards,

There is an option, you tick on "(ii) The qualification was taught or researched in the UK or a majority English speaking country (other than Canada)
