Hi,

I already went through Citizenship FAQs - Common Questions on this board so except below other major queries are resolved. :)

I am applying for British Citizenship along with my 2 child
Kids age
Elder child - 11 years, 10 months
Younger - 6 Years, 11 months

Both born in India

1) My stay in UK is more than 6 years in total and applying after 12 months from ILR
2) My kids are in UK for more than 4 years but less than 5 years however 12 months passed after their ILR approval.
3) My Wife is in UK since more than 4 years but less than 5 years however 12 months passed after her ILR approval – So I understand she can apply BC only after BC status granted to myself.

Questions are
1) Can Kids apply along with me or they need to wait for me to gain BC status ?
2) Do mother need to give any No Objection Certificate for kids BC?
3) From whom I need to get Good Character certificate for Kids, School or any eligible referee ?

Can you please advice on above queries?

Many Thanks,

1. Yes you can all apply together.
2. Not sure about this but I am sure someone will be on shortly to answer.
3. Just put the name of the school on the form. No need for any special character reference.

Yes, father can apply with Kids. Good Character / References are extremely important if kids are of age >=10
School is the BEST, as they can check with school if required

Many Thanks,
1) as said, kids can apply together (separate fee apply).
2) no need for certificate but she will need to sigh her consent as part of the application form.
3) no need for separate certificate but references are required as part of the application form.
