Hi friends,
We are planning to apply for OCI. My query is my wife's Indian passport is in Maiden name where as British Passport is in name after Marriage.
We already have finished the step of surrendering Indian Passport.
Can someone please guide me regarding documents I might need to carry to apply for OCI? Our marriage certificate is laminated. Will that be an issue?
Thanks in advance
J

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. We already have British passport
And my query is related to OCI.
Can it be readdressed?
Thanks

Speaking from personal experience - I provided a photocopy of our laminated marriage certificate.
Lady at the counter asked for the original and accepted the photocopy(though on the website it states otherwise).
OCI has been granted and awaiting for it.
P.S.If you are applying for children's OCI too, the marriage certificate will serve this purpose as well along with the and the baby's birth certificate.

Thanks a lot coolmate. I will try as you have mentioned.
