Start of 5 year qualifying period for EU nationals

I'm Polish and therefore subject to WRS scheme. I am applying for citizenship now. I started my employment on 17/11/07 and applied for WRS withing 30 days but the certificate date is 15/1/08. The question is- does the 5 year qualifying period start from when I started my employment or from the date of the WRS certificate ( given the cert was issued more than 30 days after starting employment? Also- I changed employers in May 2008 ( without a day of a break between the two employers) and registred with WRS within 30 days. this- i assume- still qualifies as 12 months uninterupted employment?
Additionally, my wife wants to apply for citizenship as well. She never applied for WRS but from speaking to UKBA it seems her qualifying period starts from when she married me ie 31/8/08 ( as apparently spouses of EU nationals did not have to register with WRS if their husband/wife were registered- this is according to UKBA- but not sure if i should trust this information). is this correct? thanks for your help! :D

Hi,
I am also originally from Poland and I became a British citizen last month. I asked a similar question here before applying and i was advised that if you had applied for WRS within 30 days then your qualifying period starts from the day you started working and if you applied later then it starts from the date shown on WRS cert.
I also registered in 2007 and my certicate only took 2 weeks but i guess your case must have been delayed because of Christmas etc.
Can't help you with your other questions i'm afraid.
Good luck!
