my of my friend has ILR 2 months ago on the basis of 10 years long residency.We are aware that he can apply for naturalisation after 1 year.
But someone told us that after ILR you can apply naturalisation any time ...is it true????
please advice

you can apply nationality after 1 year of ILR

As above unless you're the spouse or civil partner of a British Citizen.

Unless maried to BC, you can apply any time after 1 year so it can be after 1 year, 2 years, 23 years or even never.
