Hi guys,

Could someone please help me with my query:

I received ILR (Long Stay Rule) recently and I have a daughter who was born in the UK in 2010, but has been away from the UK since 2011.

I would like her to travel back to the UK sometime next summer as she will be starting her school over here.

So I have 2 questions:

1. My country does not allow dual nationality and we'd like her to keep our nationality. Therefore, how do we apply for her ILR abroad?
2. If we decide to get a British Passport for her, how do we apply for it outside the UK (as I am in the UK at the moment and she is staying abroad with my parents)?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

you can have 1 or 2, not both, foreign citizenship that does not allow dual nationality and British passport, WITHOUT first getting British citizenship for your UK born child.
