Applying for UK Citizenship

I am a British Citizen by birth and my wife details of immigration are as under:

Date spouse visa granted: 30 Oct 2010
Date of first arrival in UK: 24 January 2011:
Date ILR granted: 18 March 2013.

However she was absent from

15 Dec 2011 to 30 Sep 2012= 307 days
and 28 August 2012 to 30 Oct 2013= 62 days

My wife has been out of the country for nearly 369 days. As per her first arrival in UK on 24 Jan 2011, 3 yrs residence qualifying period would have completed on 24 Jan 2014, if we had stayed in the country for the entire period.

My question is that I have seen on UKBA website that UKBA allows 270 days discretion in the 3 years residence qualifying period for spouses. Hence, based on the above information on total number of days spent outside UK in the last 3 years, when should we apply for UK citizenship in 2014.

In my assessment, if I subtract 369 ( days spent outside)-270 ( Discretion allowed) = 99 days ( 3 months). will we have to wait for another 3 months (i.e, in May 2014) before applying for UK citizenship.

Let me have your valuable input.

Thanks.
