Hello everyone and happy new year,

after I got my ILR I got few troubles to bring my family to the UK. As I just finished my studies and I don't have a job I couldn't find a way to bring my family back to the UK. my wife and my child who was born in the UK got their family visit application refused.

My questions today are:

1- Since my child was born in the UK can I register him as British citizen while he is outside the UK,

2- Since I don't fulfill the financial requirements for spouse visa as I was student supported by my parents, what would be the best option to bring my wife to the UK.

I appreciate your help guys and I'm always thankful to this forum which helped me a lot.

Thank you and have a good day.

For your child, read Q1 in the 'children' section of the FAQs in the link below

For your wife, I am not sure as you would need to meet the financial requirement. Does she not qualify for any other type of visa in her own right (Tier 2 or Tier 4 etc)?

Thank you Croo1 for your prompt reply, I'm glad that I can register my child as BC.

for my wife, she applied for family visit and got rejected this week. For Tier 2 or Tier 4 visa I dont think is possible at least for now. I just want to mention that my wife was here in the UK for the last 4 years and she left the country before her dependent visa expired.
