Hello please help, I already resigned from my job today because of my illness... Can I apply naturalisation in May 2014 without a job? Thank you.

I don't see why you can't apply then - having a job is not one of the eligibity criteria anyway.

Its not a crime either, so why not?

Write exactly what the current situation is, if you are still out of job then, yes why not? put down "out of job". I assume you have a Tax ref number from your prevoius employer, if you do fill that in.

It might be worth writing in the relevant space in the application form that you are out of job due to illness but when you had job your Tax obligations were met hence the reason for the Tax ref number from your previous employer. I also believe you will have GP notes as well to back up the facts that you are ill.

You should be fine... I wish you a very quick miraculous recovery.
