Hi

I have two children, one of them born in india when i was on Tier 1 (General) visa and another in UK.

My situation is following:

- I got ILR in March 2013 from Tier 1 (General) Points Based System.
- My wife got ILR in Aug 2013.
- My son (3 yrs 9 months) who born outside UK and got ILR on 13th June 2013.He has been in UK since more than 3 yrs.
- My younger one born in UK and got British passport last year.

Questions:

1 Can i apply naturalisation for my son who born abroad along with me next month, March 2014 ?
Am under impressions that children don't need to wait for their 1 year qualifying period.

2 Should i still need to show B1 certificate though i got Tier 1 (General) by submitting "degree taught in English" certificate based on points based calculator ?

From 28 October 2013, there is a Knowledge of language requirement which must be met by all applicants for naturalisation.

As per http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... hip/kol-uk

"Degrees taught in English:
Those who have obtained a degree taught in English will not be required to show a formal speaking and listening qualification"

Appreciate if someone could response above as soon as possible as i need to submit the applications soon. thanks in advance

1. Yes.
2. Just use the same evidence used for Tier-1 (degree certificate) & PBS calculator print out.
