I am in the process of applying for British citizenship, and have a query regarding the English requirement.
I have lived in the for the past 10 years (19 currently) and am a Swiss national. My question is whether, my GCSEs in English language and literature with AQA at grade B and A are accepted as a proof of knowledge of language?
Thank you for any help, I have received little help from the home office regarding this

Not unless it's an IGCSE certificate in English. You also need to pass the Life in the UK test.

I'm well aware I need to sit the life in the UK test, however not sure about the English requirement.
It's kinda ridiculous, but oh we'll shouldn't be hard getting a decent mark in the test

If I take the Trinity college GESE grade 5, am I correct in saying this is just a listening and speaking test or is there a writing component?
Edit wrong name of qualification
