I am living and working in UK under Tier2 visa for past 3 years.
My partner is a British Citizen.
We are planning to get married this year.
Immediately after marriage, can I apply for BC directly?

The following link seems to be saying the same.
https://www.gov.uk/becoming-a-british-c ... sh-citizen

Could you please clarify?

You need to have ILR to apply for BC (even if married to a BC).

Jambo,Thanks for the reply.

But the link that I have posted in the query doesn't mention anything about ILR in the requirements. Could you please let me know where it is specified?

From the Home Office guidance notes requirement for ILR:
Evidence of freedom from immigration time restrictions
• Your passport showing permission to remain permanently in the UK OR
• The Home Office letter by which you were given permission to remain permanently
in the UK
