fear after BC submission

Hi,

I submitted my BC application through NCS 14 January and was received by Home office the next day. I then received acknowledgement letter dated 28 January. I see that so many people have now received decisions and am wondering if my decision might have been lost in the post. If I wait for the 6 month window period to elapse and only query the status of the application then, might I run into difficulties? By this I am referring to something I have read that a person must book the ceremony within 2 weeks of receipt of letter and have gone through with the ceremony within 3 months - therefore having to start the whole process again (and their communication is sent via 2nd class mail so no proof or way of tracking).

I know its probably an irrational fear but the Home Office have created a situation where we are so dislocated from this process that it leads to worries and concerns.

About 55-60% of January applicants have received their approvals so far and I would expect that your application should be dealt with soon if it is straight forward. Have in mind that some November and December applicants are still waiting for the decision.
You can always phone and inquire about your application.
I think it is 3 months from receipt of the approval that you are obliged to take the oath.

Thanks for the clarification. I think my application is very straight forward other than being from a so called black listed country.
