getting u.k citizenship help

hi my girlfriend is Filipino and i am british, she has been in the u.k for just over five years, two years on a student visa and just over three years on a working visa, does she qualify to apply for uk citizenship? she thinks she might not be able to yet because two of the years spent here was on a student visa. if anyone could help i would be very grateful

She needs ILR first and if not your spouse\civil partner, to wait 1 year after ILR granted.

what if the spouse becomes just british and afterwards the other partner applies and gets his ILR ? can the one with ILR apply for naturalization immediately without waiting one year? although his wife just was granted british citizenship and at the time he was granted ILR she was practically british?

I am British tho. What is an ILR, the question I asked was is she aloud to apply since she is here over five years but 2 of which was a student visa and the three years on working visa?

She will need to complete 5 years under the (same) current visa to be able to apply for ILR. The two years under the student visa can't be used (to be counted as part of the 5 years).

Doesn't matter. What matter is that spouse is British at the time of BC application (even one day is OK).
