Hi

Just want to confirm will there be any changes regarding registering a UK born child as British citizen by virtue of section 1(3), after 6th april 2014 changes.

Or there will be no changes in this regard.

Please can some one provide me list of documents needed to send with application MN1 section 1(3).

Also do i have to send original passport of father with original BRP or photocopies will be sufficient.

If you look/read carefully, you will see it is a thread/post that is updated and edited by moderators as things change because it is the Frequently Asked Questions / Common Questions link for BC!!!! So still valid regardless of when the post was created!!

Confused by the statement in the faq that says,

- Parent's passport showing ILR / BRP. (photocopies of all pages are accepted)

Are photocopies accepted instead of the original passports?

Yes, the parents ILR BRP and passport only needs to be copies. You can also apply through NCS at the council then you get to keep ALL the original documents and they check your form.
