My wife just received her acknowledgement letter today and had applied for naturalization on basis of being married to a BC as I am British.

On letter it say Application type AN(6)1 instead of AN(6)2

Do I have to do anything to correct it, any one with such experiences, please share

Same thing happened to me and I've sent a letter to HO saying that I applied as a spouse of BC.

Was the letter through the post or email, and did you get a response?

I've sent a letter to the address of HO that is on the letter of acknowledgment.
