Maiden name

Hi,
I finally have time to take the necessary english language requirement test needed for my British naturalisation application.
However in order to register for the test the test centre requires my current passport as ID. I am using my Portuguese passport as the ID for my application however it is in my maiden name and expired - which I understand is fine for the application as long as I send in a copy of my marriage certificate.
The test centre states that my name on the test needs to match my passport - however this will mean that the completion certificate will not be in my married name.
I do not want to renew and update my portuguese passport if I can help it, as doing this from the UK is quite a pain.
I have a 2nd passport, a South African passport which is in date and is in my married name. I was thinking of just using this as the ID for the english language test, but would this just complicate matters even more?
