If you have been a resident in UK for 5 years and had ILR for 1 year I believe you can apply for citizenship. You have to satisfy residence and good character requirements.

Are you sure you have been granted ILR in 2012? Sounds you have been granted RoR (following EEA2 application). PR under EEA Regulations would be obtained in 2014 (and elgibily for BC 1 year after).

hi there,

yes i am sure i have been granted ILR which is valid for next 10 years.my X EEA wife was here from last 7 years. therefore i have been granted ILR. my my question is i have completed 5 years. will home office consider that 1 year which i spent here as student or i have to wait 1 year more after my 5 years?
