Hello,

I would be grateful for some advice.

I am EEA citizen.I got my blue card(Permanent residence) on 15 November 2013.I know I can apply for British citizenship on 15 November 2014(after 1 year of holding PR).

My wife is Non-EEA family member. We got married on 09 July 2009.

When my wife can apply for British citizenship? Can she apply jointly with me after 15Nov 2014 or she needs to apply for PR before and wait 1 year?

Or maybe I need to get BC first on my own and after she can apply as my wife without waiting 1 year?

I am confused about that and do not want to lose expensive application fee if something goes wrong.

Regards

If she has been a resident in UK for 3 years, have ILR and is married to British citizen then she can apply for naturalization.

Please can anyone help me out here. I am non -eu and I got married to my eu spouse in sept 2007 and was granted the 5years residence permit till feb 2013. ( due to the time taken to return my passport). I put in an application for permanent residence in January 2013 and my application got declined in October i.e. after 10 months of waiting. I appealed the decision and i was granted leave to remain after waiting 20 months. My question is; Should i have to wait 1 year on the ILR to apply for BC or considering the time it has taken to process my application, can i apply straight away.
Thanks
