Hi All

Please I need help on which application I should apply for now "British Citizen' or 'Naturalization'?

This is my entry timelines

1. Entry Clearance
Issued Date: 26/March/2008
Expiry Date: 26/March/2010
Date of Entry into Country: 23/August/2008

Renewal was initially refused due to funds but that was sorted out in court and the Judge accepted my case since I had the funds

2. Resident Permit: Tier1 (General) Migrant
Issued Date: 09/September/2010
Expiry Date: 09/September/2013

3. Settlement Permit: ILR
Issued DAte: 02/August/2013
Expiry Date: 02/August/2023

It's my understanding that I need to start processing my application for British Citizenship or Naturalization now but need some guidance on how or where to start from.

Thanks

You can apply for naturalisation from 3rd August 2014 onwards. LIUK and English Level B1 required.

Citizenship FAQs, link below, is a good place to start

Hi Thanks for the reply.

- Must I do LIUK test again?
- Is English Level B1 required even if I studied in English from an English speaking country?

Thanks

If you have done LIUK, no need to do it again.

You don't say what country you are from and only certain countries are exempt from the English requirement.
