I'm European guy and have passed " Life in the Uk" . I speak fluent English. I've contacted Border Agency and girl has emailed me details about ESOL B1. I just dont know why should I pay another 100£ for 5minutes conversation.

I got NVQ LEVEL 2 (Plant Operations)- (Tower Cranes and Specialist Lifting Plan),and they're English qualifications. Logic says I have to communicate in English doing my job. My job covers speaking, listening, writing and etc stuff

Question..... Will Border Agency I mean person (decision maker) with little higher intelligence than average will accept my qualifications as a proof of good knowledge of English or I'll have to fork out another 100 quid for something I mean exam which logically seems to be completely difficult to understand. I mean whole idea of this exam.....

I think the answer for that is no.

I've done the IELTS before, taken the GMAT, half of my university degree was in English and I've been working in the IT industry in London for 6 years... And I literally just booked an IELTS test for the naturalisation process.

Unfortunately the qualification is part of the process.

If you haven't done one of these exams before, I've read that the CFE is the simplest one (and also a bit cheaper). I've decided to take the IELTS just because I still have all the books I used to prepare for it a few years ago.
