Hi All,

I am on ILR since Jan 2013 and my wife is PBS dependent since October 2012 (she is serving 5 years probationary period
to obtain ILR). My child for born in india last week and I am going to apply for visa for him.

What is the visa category for my child?
How long will he get visa for?
If he is given short term visa, Can he apply for ILR in UK after his visa expires; in other words what will be his visa category after he comes over here?
and finally How long will it take to get visa for him?

Thanks in advance

I think he may apply for a PBS dependant entry clearance, in line with his mother's.

Hi,

I am eligible to apply for naturalisation and my son was born last month in India. I am in the process of applying for tier 1 dependent for my son.

1. I have not applied for tier 1 dependent for my son yet. Say If I apply for naturalisation for myself now and in process, Can I still apply for tier 1 dependent for my son while my naturalisation application is still in progress?
or Should I wait for my son to get his visa first before my naturalisation application?

2. Consider the similar case above but I am applying for father's family visitor visa during my naturalisation in progress, Can I still do that?

Thanks,
Suresh
