Hello, I am from Canada and I was born in 1992. My father is from enganld and is only a British citizen. My mother was from Canada, but is passed. They were not married, only common law. Is there any chance I would be eligible for British Citizenship if i provide dna and birth certificats? I just do not understand the forms or anything. If there is any chance someone could help me out that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

A person born before 1 July 2006 with a British father and non-British mother, and whose parents were never married, can't claim British citizenship purely because their father is British.

An Ancestry Visa may be an alternative route.
