Hi Everyone,
Pardon me if this question has been asked and answered before. Could you please advise if I can use my IELTS result (Issued outside UK) that was expired in 2005 ? And If not, then which test should I take that is cheaper?
Thanks.

They do - yes but only if the test was taken in the UK.

Hi, There is no such restriction mentioned in the factsheet or the email I received from home office. Where did you hear that?

There are 2 requirements that needs to be met for an expired IELTS certificate to be accepted:
1. It must have been accepted for a previous application for example entry clearance
2. Or if it is being presented for the first time, it must have been taken in the UK and is on the OFQUAL register.
If one of the above requirements cannot be met, then the expiry date on the certificate will apply.

First requirement is ONLY for "Settlement" applications.
Second requirement that you mentioned is unfounded.

Well, go ahead and apply for naturalisation then. What was the point asking if you dismissed every fact.
