Naturalization: 12 months wait or any time after ILR?

Hi everyone! Thank you for all advise with my first topic!
I've got another Q, could someone answer please?
My husband received his ILR this months on basis of long residence, can he apply any time now for naturalization as spouse of BC? I became BC in May this year by naturalization and we've been married for 14 years now. Since my husband came to this country he was on dependant visa, only for the last one year he was on spouse visa before he applied for ILR. Does the visa status make difference for naturalization as spouse of BC or any other factors?
Kind regards and will be looking forward for any replies! Many thanks!

He has to be a UK resident for the last 3 years and have had ILR for at least 12 months.

As the spouse of a British citizen, he may naturalise immediately after being granted ILR, subject to other requirements (3).

Thank you all!
Dear vinny and vivdubes, even I became BC recently but before his indefinite can he still apply any time now? Because I thought that at the time of our marriage I supposed to be BC... Still confused especially when you get different answers.
Many thanks! :?
