Language requirement

Hello

I hope somebody is able to help me with this.

It has taken me a long time to decide to apply for BC due to the fees creeping up every year. When I finally decided I discovered this new requirement of English language proficiency.

I have been on the phone to the UKBA helpline and local Nationality Checking Service where I kept getting contradicting advice.

I have not got any qualifications listed on http://www.gov.uk website BUT I am now a 3rd year full-time student doing BSc at Plymouth University, have got on official letter confirming that including expected completion date as September 2015 and 2 official transcripts for two previous years containing all the modules and grades (70+). Now, the UKBA just quotes http://www.gov.uk website saying that is sufficient whereas Nationality Checking Service says I cannot apply for citizenship until I qualify.

Also, if I follow the UKBA advice and apply I am not sure what to tick on AN application form for language.

Surely, if I am doing a degree as any other British student, logically it should be enough to prove my skills but I am just too scared to lose all the money if "computer says no".

I would appreciate your advice.

Thank you

You need to graduate first - then apply.
