Naturalisation for dependent

Hi
I have applied for ILR from Tier 2 which is now approved, awaiting my BRP. I have not included my son as part of ILR application as he was born in UK and I will be applying for naturalisation for him after I get my BRP. If we have to travel once I receive my BRP can my son travel on his Tier 2 dependent BRP or will have to wait until I get his naturalisation completed and British passport. Please can anyone advise. Thanks.
