Hi gys,
I am searching for a simple answer for a long time, need help!!

I have indian graduate and post-graduate degrees, both are in english (appearing on PBS)
I do not have any other proof like Esol or Naric or University letter

Has any one been successful with PBS calculator printouts for english requirements.

Get NARIC certificates for your own peace of mind. Otherwise it should generally be fine if it is shown on PBS calculator

1)If PBS calculator shown minimum 20 points for qualification and 10 points for english language than print out is sufficient
If PBS calculator not showing 10 points against english language than you need.

2) Naric letter of qualification equivalency + Degree Certificate + University letter which proof degree was taught in english

otherwise
3) BI Entry Level 3

Further in discussion
I have personally discussed this issue with my 3 friends in same situation
2 are going for english test
1 called NCS 3 months ago and found that it is up to discretion of Case worker. PBS calculator is going to be fully stopped by ukba for citizenship soon but don't know when

And of course there is no option on AN form to mention PBS marks

Also i hve gone through thread for nationality application timeline and majorty seems to be having english certificate

I am bit worried about loosing fees if applied based of point based calculator
To be simple and straight forward , i think i will opt for english test unless i can see few recent successful examples based on PBS sheet only

Any advise on english test , which course and how much is fees
Someone says pearsons PTE, some one says ESOL or IELTS

Thanks in advance

I apologies if i made previous post bit complex

In simple words i want to decide if i should get a NARiC letter
Or pass an english test like PTE, ESOL or IELTS

On Naric website , there are two options
1st is to grade my degree and
2nd is to prove if this was taught in english
Do i need both? Do i still have to arrange letter from my university saying that degree is in english?

Can some one help me to decide which option (test or naric) is better off consideting
Time it will take, Fees/Cost, I do not have college letter but degree appears on PBS on qualification and english both,

My Dear Busy Friends :)
No one answered my queries but Its my moral duty to update you with my status

I have booked my self for Cambridge PET exam [Equiv. B1 CEFR]
It costed me £75 + £15 late fees (Better Than NAARIC £55 {English} + £55 {Degree} =£110)

PET Exam is on 11th Oct 2014 for 2 hours, Certificate will take 4 weeks to arrive following exam but Exam center will provide some kind of proof in 7 days which should be enough to prove that I appeared in Exam and passed

http://www.cambridgeenglish.org/testyourenglish

For those who want to book for exam.
Exam centers are too busy and does not have frequent exams [Next exam in my center is in December]
but there are few other open centers which take exams more frequently [Every week] like Bristol.
You may try those

I have received a letter from home office stating that, the qualification must be deemed by NARIC to meet the recognised standard of bachelor's or masters degree in the uk and need to provide original degree certificate with application plus a pass notification letter stating that i have passed submit naric letter.
And they asked me to submit these docs before 13/10/2014.Even if i apply in NARIC for fast track it will take time for 2 days.and sat and sunday holiday i will receive it monday or tuesday.

so can you please let me know how can i do it early.Do i need to send a mail to home office regarding this or any idea please suggest.

And in NARIC there are 2 types of certificates which one i need to select

You need "Statement of comparability (SOC) from NARIC".
I suggest you apply for it immediately using the urgent service. You will probably still not get it in time but for now you can take a printout of the confirmation email for NARIC application and post it (next day recorded and tracked) immediately to home office with a nicely worded letter that you have applied for it and that you will send it approx in so many days. I dont think there is anything more you can do at this stage.
Do make sure you keep copies of the postage receipt and dates with you in case you need it in future.

Hi, this is a very quick and direct question: I have a PhD from Salford University (Manchester, UK) and I have passed my Life in the UK on Nov 2012.

I have with me:
- My original degree certificate from my University.
- My life in the UK certificate stating that I passed.

Do I still need (quote from website):

"An original and official certificate from your university confirming the degree was taught or researched in a majority English-speaking country (except Canada)"

This confuses me. Please advise, any help will be appreciated.

Regards.

A degree certificate issued by a recognised UK university should meet this requirement.
