English Language

Dear members,

I am applying for BC next week. My case scenario is
1.HSMP 2+3+1 ILR
While applying for HSMP in 2007, I claimed 10 points in English language IELTS (if my memory serves well). IELTS is already expired on 2009. I do not have to demonstrate English language qualification: since rule is who has already demonstrated a knowledge of English equivalent in order to qualify for entry clearance, will not have to take a further test as settlement stage.

Could you pls clarify my understanding is correct or not? And anyone whose case is same as mine and recently applied for BC, what are the documents did you submit with application?

Hi,

I am on exactly same boat as you, IELTS expired, even applied HSMP in same year. My NCS is in last week of Oct. But just to be on safe side I have taken the English language test.

Regards.

Thanks Fwd079,

It did not come in my mind to sit in the exam again. I should have done but once you have passed B1 or above you don't need to do again.

A peach of mind for those who are on same boat as my situation, pls have a look on this link. Probably it will help to send a print out of this letter with your application.

"no one who already has an English language qualification at B1 level or above will be required to take another one."

Life in the UK test is also required.
