The baby will only be British by Descent if born abroad AFTER your naturalisation application is approved and AFTER you have attended the ceremony and received your certificate.
If baby is born before, the baby will need a visa to return to the UK. If baby is born in the UK and you hold ILR, baby will be automatically British.

Thanks CR001, Im aware that if baby is born in UK he/she will be british by birth, but I read somewhere that HO can apply discretionary powers while assessing naturalisation and if an application for registration for the new born is made under section 3(1) and under subsection 9.
