Applying For Citizenship : Need Advice Regarding Arrest

Hi all,

I will be applying for citizenship in Nov 2014, I was arrested by the police , bailed and then the charges were dropped by the Home Office & Police. They came to my home under information , that i was involved in immigration offences ,involving forging of documents and passports, but later , found nothing of that sort and decided to drop the charges and withdraw the case totally.

I was never even charged of anything, it was just bad intelligence.

It was a joint team of Home Office and Police.

My question is , now when I will apply , for Citizenship , what do i mention in the form, where it asks about criminal convictions, etc.

Any help / advice , will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you ,

James

A good friend of mine was in a similar situation so I might be able to advise but at the moment you are providing conflicting information. On one hand you are saying "... decided to drop the charges ..." while on the other you are saying "I was never charged ....". Both of these statements can't be true.
Which is it?

So in the case that you were just arrested but not charged then you dont have to mentione anything because you have no convictions and no pending investigations.
