Citizenship general question

Hi,
This is probably a dumb question, but believe me I am really trying to find answers as I have to plan my family's future.
I am Indian on Tier-1 visa. My dependants are my wife and 2 children UK born. I shall be applying for ILR for myself and my wife, for children I will wait and apply for BC directly once we get ILR.
Q1- Once my children or I become British citizen, will I loose my Indian passport/nationality?
Q2- I have heard about something called OCI passport, when will I or my children will get it? with OCI do we need to apply for indian visa ?
Q3- If my children become BC and not myself or wife and for some reason if i have to leave UK and settle in india. Will India/UK will permit me to take my BC children india permanently?
Q4- If all four of us get BC. Do we be able to go back to India and settle there while we are still BC?
In summary, i want to know how does ILR/BC status impacts its holder's visiting or settling in India.
Thanks,
Anas

Experts can tell you better and I am not Indian, but what I have read here, India does not allow dual nationalities so you need to surrender your passport and get a visa to go to India.
Children born in UK to non-settled persons can become UK citizens by using Form MN1 once parents got ILR. Then they will have same process of surrendering Indian passports (if any) and gaining Indian entry clearance like yourself.
Hope this helps.

Yes, India does not allow dual citizenship. Note you lose your citizenship immediately at the ceremony, but you can use your passport for 90 days afterwards during a grace period.
Q2- I have heard about something called OCI passport, when will I or my children will get it? with OCI do we need to apply for indian visa ?
You get it from the Indian embassy/consulate. It's sort of similar to ILR in the UK, basically you'll be free to live and work in India for as long as and whenever you want, but you can't vote or have public office. There are a couple of others to it as well, see the Wikipedia here.
Q3- If my children become BC and not myself or wife and for some reason if i have to leave UK and settle in india. Will India/UK will permit me to take my BC children india permanently?
Not sure. I think if your children get BC and have OCI then yes.
Q4- If all four of us get BC. Do we be able to go back to India and settle there while we are still BC?
Not sure. I think with OCI the answer is yes.

Also see this page here, because there is a choice between OCI and PIO, but which is better I don't know.
