Applying for Naturalisation - Home Office registration

Hi,
Some time ago it was required (but not mandatory as far as I know) for non British people who work in the UK to register with Home Office (for a fee of about £50 and later £70). Later this changed and since 2011 one does not have to do this registration.
I went to university in the UK between 2005 and 2008 and had part time jobs. Since 2008 I'm constantly in full time employment in the UK. This missing registration never meant any problems or disadvantages for me with regards to being employed.
Will my application be rejected if I never registered with Home Office?
Thanks,
Marcel
