A friend of mine was a referee as a retired teacher for another friend's BC application years ago, and his profession was accepted for a referee at that time, and my friend got a British Citizenship at the same year.

Can a retired teacher to be a referee of my British Citizenship application now? I would like to check if there are any changes for the referee professional list.

Any help would be appreciate.

Someone has posted here that he was informed by HO that people who are retired are not accepted as referees. You can find from reading posts below.
