Applying as spouse of British Citizen

Hi
I came over as spouse of a Naturalized British Citizen. Initially on a 2 year visa than got ILR for a year.
I want to apply for naturalization however my relationship has broken down just after 3 year mark.
Can I apply without a full copy of my spouse's British Passport? All I have is copy of the first page.
Also if my spouse informed the Home Office that we are going through divorce proceedings overseas, will that have any impact on the application? We are already over the 3 year period.
Thanks for your help.

NCS asked me for copies of all pages of my spouses passport when I applied.
As far as I know you can apply as a spouse as long as you are official married, and only once you receieve decree absolute does your marriage ceases to exist. All up to that point you are married as far as HO is concerned.
As long as you are married to BC for the last 3 years, hold ILR and meet residency requirements you can apply.

NCS will ask for all pages, but can I apply directly just with the front page?
Is there any aternative evidence I can provide etc?

In AN Guide it says:
Your spouse’s or civil partner’s current passport or naturalisation/registration
certificate showing that he/she is a British citizen
However, if you are sending your application by post you must submit copy of all pages of your spouse's passport.

The best option is to apply through a solicitor who can certify the copies of your spouse's passport and with that you should be fine
It happened to a colleague and she got her approval recently
All the best

Thanks,
All the suggested replies revolve around getting hold of the passport in the first place. My dilemma is that I only have a copy of the front page of the passport and nothing else.
Even verification by the solicitor will require original to be presented.
Is there no other way? i.e a letter from a solicitor with alternative evidence etc?
Thanks

Hi, Has anyone got any information on this? Any help would be appreciated.
Quick recap:
- Spouse Naturalised British citizen
- Due to relationship breakdown (after 3 years) will not give me copy of the passport.
- I only have copy of the main page
Can any alternative evidence be submitted for my naturalisation?
