Child born outside UK. Both parents settled, but only applying for only one parent and the child...
The guide MN1 mandates that the application is only considered if both parents are applying with child
Or
One of the parents has to be a citizen and other should be settled.
Is that right ? Can't one parent apply for citizenship along with the child ?
Eagerly awaiting reply... Thank you

From what I understand a naturalisation is an individual application and it shouldn't matter if the entire family isn't applying together.
However, I would still recommend you attach a NOC from non-applying parent when applying for child. I was once asked to provide a NOC from my wife (basically a letter saying that she doesn't have any issues with my son applying for the visa with me) when extending my and my son's visa together.

I applied for BC for myself and my daughter born outside UK, did not apply for wife's citizenship at the them as she's not eligible. But all of us had ILR. I got approvals of both my daughter's and mine, wife still being on ILR. The
current MN1 form asks for both parent's details which I provided along with Wife's ILR BRP card's copy. I used NCS.

Hi,
Was your daughter in UK with ILR or any dependent visa?
Thanks,
Ashok

Yes. She came to UK on dependant visa and was on ILR for a year before Citizenship.
This is because I had to be on ILR for a year before I could apply for Naturalisation.
